Understand Push Notification Timing

Understand Push Notification Timing

Learn about the expected delivery time for push notifications and factors that may influence their arrival.

Delivery Time Expectations

  1. Standard Delivery Time:

    • Push messages are generally delivered within 20-30 seconds.

  2. Platform-Specific Behavior:

    • Android and iOS handle push notifications differently. Delivery timing may vary based on the platform's background processes.

    • In some cases, if the user has the card open or is actively using their phone, the push notification may not immediately trigger. This behavior is dictated by Apple and Google and is beyond our control.

  3. Checking Message Status:

    • To confirm if a message has been delivered, navigate to the Latest Updates section on the customer’s card. If the notification has been received and processed, it will appear here.

  4. Limitations on Card Previews:

    • Card previews are not designed to receive push updates. These passes are intended solely for testing how your design appears on a device and are not connected to the live notification system.

Visual Guide Prompt: Include a short looping video showing how to check the 'Latest Updates' section on a customer card to verify push message delivery.
