Troubleshoot Push Notification Delivery

Troubleshoot Push Notification Delivery

Learn about the common reasons why your customers may not receive push messages and how to address them effectively.

Reasons for Non-Delivery

  1. Card Not Installed:

    • Customers must have your card installed in their Apple Wallet to receive push notifications.

    • To verify this, go to the Customers section and check the Card Status.

    • If the status shows “Not Installed” (indicating the customer signed up but did not install their card), send them their unique card link and instruct them to install the card.

  2. Google Wallet Limitation:

    • Google Wallet currently does not support push notifications.

    • However, messages you send will still appear in the Latest Updates field on the customer’s card.

  3. Automatic Updates Disabled on iOS:

    • Some customers may have disabled Automatic Updates on their iOS devices, preventing push notifications from appearing.

  4. Push Notifications Disabled on Android (PWA Cards):

    • On Android devices, customers may have disabled push notifications for PWA cards. Instruct them to re-enable notifications in their device settings to receive updates.

Visual Guide Prompt: Include a short looping video showing how to:

  • Check the card status in the Customers section.

  • Resend a unique card link to a customer.

  • Enable push notifications on Android devices.
