How to Create a Discount Card

Offer tiered discounts and promotions to your customers with a customizable discount card. Follow these steps to create, configure, and activate your card

Getting Started

  1. Log In: Sign in to your Perkstar account to access your dashboard.

  2. Open the Cards Module: From the left-hand menu, click the Cards icon.

  3. Start Creating:

    • Use a preloaded template for a quick setup.

    • Or, click Create from Scratch to build a card tailored to your business.

Step 1: Select Your Card Type

  1. Choose Discount Card from the list of card types.

  2. Click Continue to move to the settings stage.

Step 2: Configure Card Settings

  1. Set Language: Choose your preferred language for the card.

  2. Define Expiration:

    • Set a fixed expiration term or define the number of days for validity after issuance.

  3. Specify Locations: Add the business locations where the discount card can be used.

  4. Cardholder Tiers:

    • Create tiered discounts by setting tier names, required spend amounts, and the discount percentage for each tier.

    • Add or remove tiers as needed.

  5. Customize the Card Issuing Form:

    • Add fields such as customer name or email.

    • Mark fields as mandatory or unique if necessary.

  6. Add Tracking: Use UTM tags to monitor traffic from specific marketing channels.

  7. Enable Privacy Options:

    • Include a privacy policy or consent fields for processing personal data.

  8. Once settings are complete, click Continue to proceed to design.

Step 3: Design Your Card

  1. Branding:

    • Upload your logo and add an image or colour for the card’s central background.

  2. Add Icons:

    • Choose from preloaded icons or upload custom designs for added personalization.

  3. Choose Colors:

    • Customize the card background, text, and central background colours to align with your brand.

  4. Once the design is complete, click Continue.

Step 4: Input Card Information

  1. Add Discount Details:

    • Provide a description of the discount and its tiered structure.

  2. Referral Program (Optional):

    • Enable referrals and set bonuses for new users and referrers.

  3. Add Active Links:

    • Include website URLs, phone numbers, or email addresses.

  4. Terms of Use:

    • Add or link to terms and conditions.

  5. When finished, click Finish to save.

Step 5: Save & Preview

  1. Preview the Card:

    • Scan the QR code to see how the card looks to customers.

  2. Activate the Card:

    • Click Activate Card to make it live and ready to use.
